What's covered with a Veygo one week car insurance policy?
-
Cover for a car owner on their own vehicle.
-
Cover for you to share the car of a family member or friend.
A one week car insurance policy by definition lasts for 7 days. However, you can cover your vehicle for up to 60 days if required.
We provide fully comprehensive cover for our customers. This is the maximum level you can get – it means you’re covered for damage to your car and to the cars of other people involved in an incident.
What’s covered?
Accidental damage to your car
Damage caused by theft or attempted theft/vandalism/fire
Car keys and locks
We cover up to £300 to have your locks changed in the event of your keys being lost or stolen. However, we don't cover the cost of the keys!
Windscreen damage
What's not covered?
Unattended & keys in ignition
In the circumstance of keys left unattended in the ignition, or the car was left unattended, the claim will require further investigation by our customer care team.
Taking your car out of an impound
Am I eligible to insure my car for a week ?
As a driver:
You must be aged between 17 and 75, and have a full, valid UK driving licence.
If you’re aged between 17 and 21, and it’s for your own car, you need to have clocked up at least 6 months on your licence.
You should have no more than 9 penalty points, and have no disqualifications on your licence in the last 18 months.
If you have had any fault claims or motoring convictions, this may affect your ability to get temporary cover.
You need to get the car owner’s permission, and agree to take responsibility for getting the right cover.
As for the car:
It needs to be less than 40 years old.
The car should be registered in the UK.
You can get cover for a lease car, but not for a hire or rental vehicle.
