Policy underwriters
AIS Limited arranges the sale of motor and home insurance policies on behalf of other insurers. Further information may be found within the Key Facts document; the insurers underwriting your policy are described in detail on your Certificate of Motor Insurance and within your Policy Booklet.
Ancillary products supplementary to the motor and home insurance product are supplied on a similar basis, except that the insurers for those products may be different to those named above. Details of the product provider of each ancillary product supplied can be found in the relevant sections of this website and within the Key Facts document.
The precise coverage afforded by any insurance policy or other product issued by us is subject to the terms, conditions and exclusions of the policies as issued. A copy of all our policy documentation is available online and on request.
Motor Insurers’ Bureau
Authorised insurers underwriting compulsory motor insurance are also obliged, by virtue of the Road Traffic Act 1988, to be a member of the Motor Insurers’ Bureau (MIB) and to contribute to its funding. The MIB was established in 1946 as a private company limited by guarantee for the purpose of entering into agreements with the Government to compensate the victims of negligent uninsured and untraced motorists. Residency requirement
The products and services described in this website are only available to UK residents insuring private cars within Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands, UK residents insuring domestic properties within England, Scotland and Wales. By asking for a quote, you confirm that you and any joint policyholders on the policy are UK residents and that you will immediately notify us if you, your additional drivers or joint policyholders stop being a permanent UK resident.
